With the annual City2Surf, a 14km fun run from Hyde park in the CBD of Sydney to Bondi Beach, on the menu tomorrow, Felix and I decided to not go for too long a walk. Palm beach with its iconic Barrenjoey Lighthouse was the perfect candidate for a easy hike, and I was eager to see what the place looked like after the massive fire which happened last year.

As ironic as it may sound, it turns out the fire turned this already nice place into an even greater one! Where before there were many trees obstructing the view to the lighthouse on the way up, the iconic landmark is in clear view for almost the whole walk. Not only that, but once arrived at the top, there is a whole area behind the lighthouse which is the dream for any photographer, and people enjoying nice landscapes. But see for yourself…
