For the first camping trip this season, we went to one of our favourite places in Australia – Kangaroo Valley. Following a suggestion from an article from Australian Geographic, we went on the “three views trail”, which apparently is amazing during spring, when all the wildflowers are in bloom. We were unfortunately a couple of weeks late, and it was a very hot day. For future visitors, we’d recommend to just go to “one view”, which is the one straight ahead, as the others are quite lengthy walks along fire trails (which might be nicer in spring?).
On our way back to Sydney on the next day, we visited the “treetop walk”, which was really great. Our highlight was a Tawny frogmouth family (the owl-like, grumpy-looking birds in the photos).
