Exploring Western Australia’s Wine Region.

Our first holidays this year brought us to Western Australia. The main reason is that at the top of Simone’s bucket list was to go and swim with whale sharks, which are currently found up north of Perth, but more on this later. The start was in Perth, and more particularly Margaret river, one of Australia’s most famous wine regions. We drove over 800km in the 2.5 days we spent there, as there was much more to explore than “just wine”.

Here’s a list of cool things we did, which are documented in the photos below: Busselton Jetty (1.7km long!), night possum walk, Dunsborough with Castle Rock, Sugarloaf rock, anniversary night at Margaret River Heritage Lodge with jacuzzi, Hamelin Bay with Sting Rays, and Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, and an excellent breakfast in Perth.
